Shahid Ashrafi Isfahani is one of the most comprehensive Universities in Iran. It was established as a non-profit University in 1996. It seeks to equip its graduates in all fields to apply knowledge to the solution of practical problems both professionally and personally.

Shahid Ashrafi Isfahani continues to grow as a center of excellence in teaching and research and as an active proponent of responsive academic and social cooperation and exchange locally, nationally, and internationally. Currently, the University accommodates approximately 5000 students, 55 different fields of study, 300 academic staff and 60 personnel. The University directors continuously attempt to implement strategies towards excellence for continuous improvements of facilities and services to students, academic staff, and personnel.

The University purposes are as follows:   

  • To facilitate cognitive and affective student learning—knowledge, skills, and values—and to promote use of that knowledge in the student's work place
  • To provide instruction that bridges the gap between theory and practice through faculty members who bring to their classroom not only advanced academic preparation, but also the skills that come from the current practice of their professions
  • To provide general education and foundational instruction and services that prepare students to engage in a variety of university curricula
  • To assess student learning and use assessment data to improve the teaching/learning system, curriculum, instruction, learning resources, counseling and student services
  • To develop competence in communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and information utilization, together with a commitment to lifelong learning for enhancement of students' opportunities for career success

Moreover, the University consistently tries to fulfill its responsibility to the community, i.e., to encourage the Islamic and scientific culture and to develop excellent minds and up to now It has succeeded in fostering closer ties with the community. Achieving the mentioned goals, the curriculum is regularly updated to reflect the latest proven concepts, methods and practices and to explore the undergraduate and graduate degree options in a range of high-demand fields. It is constantly interfacing with the international environment in order to expand its border and to explore the world. It has the policy of internationalization and is heavily involved in international cooperation in research and education. Indeed, the University values and honors diverse experiences and perspectives, and strives to create welcoming and respectful learning environments.
